AUSTRALIA

Senior Data Analyst

Job specification:

  • Assist in the development of surveys and questionnaires
  • Provide advice to research and consulting staff about a wide range of questions relating to data collection, data analysis and data reporting
  • Performing data analysis using statistical analysis software, such as SPSS
  • Creating tables, charts and similar statistical analysis outputs

Qualities and qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar position, ideally in a research and consulting firm, or in a large organisation as an insights analyst
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English
  • A passion for numbers and data analysis and a desire to develop a career in this area
  • Strong level of experience with statistical analysis software, preferred are SPSS, SAS and Stata
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required
  • Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents or hold a relevant residency status

Project Director (Social Research)

Job specification:

  • Design, manage, analyze and make reports and presentations for social research projects
  • Strong background in both qualitative and quantitative social research
  • Develop and manage relationships with clients in Hong Kong and in other countries within the Asia-Pacific region and globally
  • Supervise research staff

Qualities and qualifications:

  • Degree holder, preferably post-graduate in sociology/psychology/economics
  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience, involving both qualitative and quantitative social research
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese) and English
  • Passion for social research and a desire to further develop a career in this area of research

  • Project management of high-level domestic and multi-country business consulting projects in the financial services industry
  • Work with senior executives in determining project requirements, research methodologies, data analysis, formulating, presenting and implementing business strategies
  • Monitor and track the progress of engagements, the quality of project deliverables and the completion of reports and presentations to clients
  • Lead a team of consultants and market researchers to solve complex and unstructured market intelligence engagements 

Qualities and qualifications:

  • Degree holder, preferably in marketing/business, a postgraduate degree in business such as an MBA viewed favourably
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a consulting-orientated role
  • Experience in the financial services industry, namely retail banking, card payments, superannuation and insurance
